No7 Mineral Foundation
Natural Collection Blush in Cloud
Mac paint pot in Bare Study
L'oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Feeric Fuschia
L'oreal Superliner Perfect Slim
Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara
I love berry lips at this time of the year, I have to admit I don't usually wear lipstick this bright but I really like the overall look with the winged out eyeliner. I did my makeup like this for new years eve, I think it's a nice look for a night out. L'oreal superliner perfect slim is one of the best liquid liners I've used, it has a really thin pen style applicator which makes lining my eyes really easy. I will also follow up with a review of Lancome Hypnose star mascara, it's becoming a staple in my makeup bag because it gives a lovely fluttery look & adds an amazing amount of volume & length.
What makeup look did you guys go with for new years eve? xx

I hadn't tried anything from their Luxe line, slightly higher in price & posher packaging. So when I was in Superdrug the other day I thought I'd pick up one of their velvet lip lacquers in the colour funk.
The packaging is really nice, it looks a lot more expensive than the £3.00 price tag. The shade I picked up is called Funk, it's a deep pink shade, this is the most neutral out of all the shades available, there are four other shades in the range, two reds, another pink & a purple. To be honest, I think this is the only shade I'd actually wear as the others looked a bit bright to me.
It reminds me of the Rimmel apocolips, in the fact that it's a bit like a liquid lipstick, it's super pigmented and you only need the tiniest amount. Because it is so pigmented it is a little difficult to apply & if you make a mistake this can be a disaster as it pretty much doesn't budge once its dried. Once I applied this to my lips I blotted off the excess with a tissue and it went from being a lip gloss into a stain. It stayed put literally all day, it survived eating & drinking without hardly any change to the colour.
Overall I'm really impressed with this lip gloss, the pigmentation is amazing and it doesn't budge. I had to use waterproof makeup remover to get it off!
If MUA came out with a few more neutral colours I'd definatley buy more, however the other colours in the range were too bright for me, but If you like bright lip colours then I'd really recommend them.
Priced at £3.00 and available online here.

I'm not making new years resolutions as such this year, I'm trying to stick to three main goals rather than ban things or set myself targets that I can't meet, I thought this year I would focus on three things that would make me happier in general. Every time I have set specific resolutions I have failed within about a week (giving up chocolate completely - I'm looking at you!).
My Three main goals I want to work towards in 2014 are:
To be healthier: I thought about cutting things like chocolate, coca cola, mcdonalds etc out completely but I know that if I ban myself from eating something it makes me want it even more. I usually go about a week without something and then cave and eat much more than i usually would in one go. I have decided that I am going to reduce the amount of naughty things I eat, but not completely ban myself, sometimes a bar of galaxy is the only thing that will do! I just want to feel healthier, I know if I eat better my mood will improve. I'm also going to incorporate exercise into my weekly routine, I am a worrier and I find exercising is good for helping me to rationalise things that might be bothering me.
To keep organised: I am naturally a pretty organised person but I can sometimes find that everything I have to do can become a little overwhelming. I have recently synced my personal planner with the calendar on my laptop and I found this keeps me focused on what I need to do. I'm going to aim to keep this up as I've found that it makes juggling a lot easier.
To step out of my comfort zone: This is the goal I set myself every year and it is the hardest for me. As I previously mentioned I have a tendency to over analyse things and as a result this can lead to worry & stress. I have always been this way, but in the past few years it has started to get worse. I don't want it to have control of me and this year my goal is to do things that I might have previously said no too. My ultimate goal this year is to drive down a motorway, I know that might sound silly, but it's the one thing I really really panic about. Anything else I do this year is a happy bonus.
What are your goals for the year?

Fleecy PJ's £8: Asda
Just a quick post today to let you know I have a confession...
My name is Rachel and I am a Pyjama Addict.
I can't get enough.
I get through the day at work knowing that as soon as I get home I can jump straight into my fleecy PJ's, grab a cup of peppermint tea and snuggle down for the
hibernation evening. These very cute thumper fleecy bottoms are ridiculously comfy and have lovely deep pockets. I feel like I'm all snuggled up in a cloud!
Is anyone else as addicted to cosy PJ's at the moment?

I love instagram, I like how it makes my pictures look beautiful and proffesional. It's amazing how a simple filter can make such a difference to the photo.
I love looking over my instagram feed but I have always wanted to have hard copies of the photos I have taken. I came across the Instajunction website the other day and immediatley got excited. They offer a variety of ways to print out your instagram photos, you can create photobooks, stickers, magnets, wall decals, polaroid style print out cards and even charm bracelets!
I really like photobooks, I think they are a nice way of keeping all my photos together. I decided to create a large photo book for the reasonable price of £8.99 for 50 photos. I'm really happy with how it's turned out - each photo is printed on thick, matte card and the quality of the photos has come out really nicely. It comes in a spiral bound book with a clear plastic cover.
I have displayed my book on my desk, and am enjoying looking thorugh it when I need a bit of cheering up. It's a nice way to preserve memories through the photos I've taken.
In my order I also received a 15% off code to give to friends. Seeming as you guys are my online friends I thought you might like to take advantadge of this code: FR10BT6X. It gives you 15% off your first order and it's valid till midnight 31st December.
You can find the link to instajunctions website here.

I love to preserve memories, I have tonnes of photo Albums and memory boxes scattered around my room. I love the idea of keeping a journal but I often struggle for inspiration. I saw this journal titled Q&A A Day - A five year journal on amazon for a reasonable £8.26 and thought it was a perfect way to keep a journal for a solid amount of time and to look back in a few years and see how I've changed.
Th idea is that you answer a question every day for a year, with a few lines to write your answers then you go round again every year for five years. I thought this was a lovely way to look back and see how I change over the years and to hold on to some special memories.
The questions range from the silly such as how much water did you drink today? To more thought provoking questions such as How do you want to be remembered? It's a nice mix of serious and general questions and it will be a lovely thing to keep in the years ahead.
The quality is really good, the pages have a lovely gold edging to them and the cover feels nice and sturdy. This would make a lovely stocking filler for Christmas for someone who likes to make lists and keep a diary. Becuase the questions are short and sweet it's easy to write in every day.
What do you think about keeping a journal? x
